Director: David Davis
David has over thirty years post qualification experience as an Architect in a wide variety of sectors including leisure, retail, commercial, defence, health and small residential including experience working in Malawi and Tanzania. Consequently, he has a flexible yet pragmatic approach.
He studied at Nottinham University and worked in the office of Eric Lyons (the then president of the Royal Insitute of British Architects) during his practical year out. He returned to London post qualification where he worked in one small then two medium sized offices before moving to the public sector.
After a period of leave of absence to undertake two years voluntary work in Malawi he rejoined the Property Services Agency in Cardiff until it's privatisation and then closure in 1996. In 2000 he returned to the private sector after having worked in Tanzania on an aid project funded by the British government.
Prior to setting up Dai2a Ltd his more recent experience included social housing, a hotel, several large projects for the Royal Mail, equipment sterilisations for an NHS provider and phase two of the Childrens Hospital for Wales. He has also worked on a range of retail, commercial and leisure projects.
He has been interested in energy conservation and sustainable building since student days and was part of a recent pilot study with Welsh School of Architecture to develop a toolkit for the implementation of sustainable building methodology. His most recent skill acquisition is as a level 1 thermographer.
